Not only does he have excellent Highland conformation, but his gentle temperament also makes him a delight to work with. Mui-Lewis’s willingness to voluntarily come into halter training at such a young age is a testament to his intelligence and trainability.

However, our decision not to choose Mui-Lewis as our keeper calf this year has nothing to do with any faults or deficiencies on his part. It is simply because his sire, Big Fergus, is still a young bull and doesn’t need to be replaced anytime soon. We want to ensure that our breeding program maintains a healthy and diverse genetic pool, and it would not be prudent to replace a young and promising bull like Fergus prematurely.

Nonetheless, Mui-Lewis’s genetics are highly desirable, and we are confident that he would produce exceptional offspring. We believe that Mui-Lewis would be an excellent choice for any breeder looking to introduce Highland genetics into their herd. His sound conformation and gentle temperament make him an ideal candidate for improving the overall quality of future Highland calves.
