What’s Included in the Price of a Mini Highland Cow
The purchase price of our Mini Highland cows covers a comprehensive range of care, health measures, and preparation. Each calf receives Vaccinations, Scour Guard, and Enforce 3 at birth, followed by Vision 7 and Cattle Master Gold. Heifers are also given the Bangs vaccination. Booster doses of Enforce 3 are administered at weaning and again on the day of shipment.
In addition, every calf undergoes chondro and horn status testing, receives the required health papers for out-of-state travel, and completes a brand inspection. We also provide four weeks of hands-on socialization to help them adjust smoothly to their future homes. Buy Scottish Highland cow online with confidence.
Pickup and Continued Care
Calves must be picked up or delivered by 5 months of age. If this isn’t possible, we offer continued care for $10 per day until pickup or delivery arrangements can be made.
Weaning and Socialization Process
Calves are weaned at 4 months, starting with a 7–10 day fence-line weaning period alongside their dam. This gentle, low-stress process allows the calf to transition naturally and comfortably.
Afterward, they spend three weeks being handled, halter-trained, groomed, and socialized, learning to trust people and enjoy interaction. Our goal is for every calf to leave the ranch calm, friendly, and ready to be handled in their new home.
Deposits and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of at least 20% is required to reserve a calf, along with a signed Cattle Sale Contract. Full payment must be completed three days prior to shipping.
